Preservation of Winans Chapel Project
Unfortunately, the Baltimore Herb Festival for 2020 is cancelled. Please stay safe, enjoy your gardens, and we will see you next year.
Please shop our vendors! Spring is NOT in a holding pattern, and our plant vendors are already growing the herbs, vegetables and plants you will need for your garden. The Vendors page lists the 2019 Festival participants, some have webpages and online shopping options but all are small, independent, local businesses that could use your support.
Thank you to everyone who came to the 32nd annual Baltimore Herb Festival that was held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Leakin Park. We enjoyed good weather and an exciting ribbon-cutting ceremony to reopen the preserved chapel! Please enjoy the pictures below from our special day.

The Baltimore Herb Festival, established in 1987, came into being as a fund-raising project to support the care, maintenance, and repair of the 1859 Winans Chapel in Leakin Park while also promoting the value of using and growing herbs through an annual festival. In close consultation the city's Department of Recreation and Parks and the Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation (CHAP), the Baltimore Herb Festival Inc. is now providing leadership for a major preservation project for the historic Winans Chapel.
